We are doing something a little different tonight.  Instead of meeting we would like to invite you to connect with Scentsible Life from 7:00 PM- 8:30 PM by lighting a white candle and focusing on the blue part of the flame.  Once you have connected to the blue light allow it to radiate through you to your loved ones, the ones you care about, and those that challenge you.

Prepare for a good night’s sleep

Essential Oils for a good night’s sleep

 

Lavender – Patchouli – Muscle Eeeze, Cedarwood

 

A good night’s sleep is an important factor for our physical, mental, emotional, and energetic well-being. During resting and sleeping we are digesting not only food but also emotional, energetic and mental impacts we experienced throughout the day.

Whether you are have trouble sleeping or just want to improve the quality of your sleep, essential oils are great helpers! Here are a few recipes:

Muscle Eeeze Foot Bath:

Just before you go to sleep, add 1/2 cup of fine sea salt and 1/2 cup of Epsom salt bath to a foot bath. Roll-on Muscle Eeeze to the soles of your feet and massage your feet before soaking in the foot bath. While you soak in warm or hot water,  close your eyes and think about all that happened during the day with a feeling of gratitude and appreciation. Embrace it all and slowly see it all drifting away from you. Do this exercise for about 15 minutes.

Lavender:

Just before you go to sleep, add 2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to an unlit candle. Make yourself comfortable in front of the candle, light it and look at the blue part  of the flame, rising from the candle. Become aware how the aroma of Lavender starts to permeate the room, inhale this aroma on the count of three, hold your breath for  the count of nine, and exhale on the count of six. Repeat this breathing exercise for 5 minutes.

Cedar Wood:

Just before you go to sleep, massage your abdomen with a drop of Cedar Wood.

Patchouli:

Just before you go to sleep, add only two or three drops of Patchouli to your bath tub.  Switch off regular light and light a few candles. Soak in your bath tub for 15 minutes. Make a soft humming sound if your mind starts to become to0 active and gently direct yourself to feel appreciation and gratitude for all the experiences you had during the day. Embrace them and then slowly see them drifting away.

Have fun with these simply yet very helpful practices and enjoy a good night’s sleep from tonight on.

White Light Update

Living the white light

The white light is like a true, genuine friend, calm and quiet, yet strong and wise, truly caring and full of resources and possibilities, guiding us into the right direction and helping us to  stay strong against our sabotaging minds. With this unconditional, all loving friend we all can  live our heartfelt dreams in the midst of struggle, chaos and obstacles.

More people allow the grace and preciousness of life into their hearts and consciousness, seeing, feeling and knowing  the difference between happiness with a melting heart and the happiness that comes when we get what we want.  The happiness with a melting heart never leaves us, it is always there, radiating out of our bodies, affecting people with  gentleness and realness.  More and more experience the wealth of wisdom that lives within us and stop looking for it somewhere else.  More and more people discover the realness of love, happiness and abundance.  Abundance, love and happiness are available to all of us at all times.  In the gentleness of the white light, we all can recognize and feel, see, touch, smell and taste that everything we need and want is right in front of us.  We no longer need to go and search for it.  It is already here.  Ready to be lived, touched and shared.

How to use them in the morning, during the day, and in the evening:

Intuitively choose one of the oils, open and inhale.  Sit for a moment and breath without following your thoughts.

Intuitively choose one of the oils and massage a drop into the palms of your hand.

Intuitively choose one of the oils and massage into the sole of your feet.

Before you go to sleep choose one of the above essential oils, add one drop to an unlit candle, light the candle and observe the blue in the candle flame for about five minutes with the intention to let go of the events of the day.

Fall Skin Care


Make skin care a part of  strengthening your health and overall well-being.

Hello,

We are preparing the Fall Skin Care. The season, temperature and length of days are changing. The skin is adapting to these changes and needs different nourishment and nutrients to help with the skin’s natural ability to cleanse, hydrate and moisturize. Fall changes our emotions and our mind as well. We are no longer in the energy of vacation, we are in the energy of work, holidays, and more indoor activities. These changes give us the opportunity to incorporate the below described daily, weekly and monthly self-nourishing treatments.

Skin is more than a representation of beauty.  It is a representation of overall physical, emotional and energetic health and well-being.  The skin is the largest organ of the body, in a state of constant readiness and alertness, working 24/7.  Lack of sleep, nervousness, worries, anxieties and many other mental/emotional and  environmental stress factors show up especially on our facial skin.

Daily, weekly and monthly skin care regimens are so much more than keeping our skin beautiful and young looking.  Regular treatments and a good night’s sleep give our skin and nervous system a break, so it can rejuvenate and regenerate.

That is why Scentsible Life wants to encourage everybody to engage in a daily, weekly and monthly skin care and physical relaxation regimen to help combat the stresses of  daily activities.  Simply making an effort and finding the time to make skin care and a relaxation regimen a regular part of daily life can do so much for our overall well-being.

The following are examples of morning, evening, weekly and monthly self-nurturing  treatments. Once in a while enjoy getting pampered by somebody else, or invite your friends to a relaxing beauty girl’s night out. The treatments are great for guys too!

Daily Regimen:

Cleansing your skin

  • Normal skin types: Mix one tablespoon of Scentsible Life Cleansing Powder  with enough warm water to form a creamy consistency.
  • Oily skin types: Mix one tablespoon of Scentsible Life Cleansing Powder with enough warm water to form a creamy consistency.  Add 2 drops of tea tree essential oil into this mixture.
  • Dry skin types: Mix one tablespoon of Scentsible Life Cleansing Powder with 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 tablespoon warm milk to form a creamy paste.

After mixing your cleansing powder, massage in circular motion into your face.  If the consistency is too “pasty” add more warm water.  Step into the shower, the warmth and the steam of the water will open your pores and the skin nourishing properties of the cleansing powder can go into the skin, while dirt and impurities are drawn out. Rinse off at the end of your shower.

Toning and hydrating your skin

  • Spray Scentsible Life Hydrotone onto your face and gently massage it into the skin, leaving the skin damp.

Moisturizing and protecting your skin

  • Massage a few drops of Scentsible Life Facial Oil into your damp facial skin.

Take a moment after your morning shower and sit for five minutes in front of a white candle.  Before you light the candle add 2 drops of essential oils a little bit away from the wick of the candle.  Stare into the blue part of the candle flame, paying attention to your breath and with a gentle humming sound.

In the evening before you go to sleep, shower and cleanse, hydrate, and moisturize your skin.  Add your essential oil to the white candle and stare into the flame for five minutes. At this time think of the events of the day in appreciation and gratitude and then allow the memory of the events of the day run from your third eye into the flame of the candle.

Weekly Regimen:

  • Receive a relaxation treatment: Relaxing Swedish massage or relaxing essential oil session
  • Take advantage of Ultimate Relaxation Evenings at Scentsible Life ($ 14.00) on Wednesday evenings
  • Give yourself a facial

At-Home Facial Treatment:

  • Change your bathroom into a spa setting with candles and soft, relaxing music, and diffuse an essential oil
  • Prepare your facial products (including steam bath and facial mask – see suggestions below).
  • Have your Hydrotone and Facial Oil ready
  • Fill up your bath tub or prepare your foot bath, add sea salt and a few drops of apricot oil

Facial masks

Dry skin – Puree one banana and one apricot.  Add 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of warm chamomile tea, blend well to form a creamy consistency.

Oily skin – Puree 1 to 2 tomatoes.  Add 1 part white clay and 2 parts water, blend well to form a creamy consistency.

Let the mask settle for a moment while you prepare a facial steam bath.

Facial steam bath

Dry skin – Chamomile and Lavender flowers.  Add 1 Tablespoon each of Lavender and Chamomile flowers to a bowl of boiling water.

Oily skin – Earl Grey and green tea.  Add 1 tablespoon each of Earl Grey and green tea to a bowl of boiling water.

Start your facial ritual:

  • Cleanse your face
  • Take a 10 minute facial steam bath by placing a towel over your head and allowing the steam from the bowl to gently caress your face
  • Apply your facial mask
  • Soak in your bathtub or foot bath for at least 20 to 30 minutes, enjoying the relaxing music
  • Rinse off facial mask
  • Tone and rehydrate your face
  • Give yourself a facial massage with the Facial Oil

Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Monthly Regimen:

Once a month or every two months, pamper yourself with a relaxing, skin nurturing and deep cleansing facial and a relaxing full body massage.

  • Relax! – a great essential oil to quickly relax and rejuvenate
  • Juniper – to stay relaxed, clear and fearless thinking in difficult situations
  • Bergamot – to uplift emotions to stop inner nervousness

  • Relaxing Essential Oil Session: Biweekly on Saturdays from 10:00 am. to 3:00 pm continuing October 1st, 2011 ($ 36.00 as part of a student training clinic)
